What to expect during your Porcelain Veneers appointment

If you’re keen to achieve a radiant smile, the first step is to book an appointment at Kai Dental, London.

During your initial consultation, your dentist will assess the condition of your teeth and gums and take some X-rays. We’ll also ask about your cosmetic concerns and take a 3D digital impression of your teeth, to ensure the veneer treatment is right for you.

Let us know what you dislike about your current smile, and we will explain how we can both enhance and maintain the character of your grin, all while keeping it as natural-looking as possible.

You will receive your very own set of bespoke porcelain veneers that fit perfectly over your existing teeth to enhance your smile. These are specially designed using up-to-date digital techniques, which are perfectly planned by our talented professionals in our state-of-the-art laboratories.

A natural look is our intention so we also look to match the tone of your veneers to your existing natural teeth, although if you wish to go a little lighter to achieve a visibly brighter smile, you can.

Dental veneers are usually fitted over 2-3 sessions by our skilled veneer dentists. Before they are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth, we may need to remove a thin layer of enamel to establish its thickness, and a temporary veneer may need to be worn for up to a few weeks.

We’ll also need to prepare the teeth to take the finished set of porcelain veneers, and Kai Dental aims to use the least amount of filing possible.

On the day your porcelain veneers are fitted, they’ll be fixed over the existing teeth using a special adhesive. Before you leave with your permanent veneers, a straightforward examination will ensure they are comfortable, and we’ll make any necessary adjustments.
