Dr Jeet Parekh is the owner of the practice and our clinical director. He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2011, before completing his orthodontic specialty training from the Royal London in 2017.
He has developed a passion for aligner orthodontics, and aims to be at the forefront in aligner care. He regularly receives referrals from across the country for his expertise in treating complex orthodontic problems and has collaborated with dozens of dentists with his interest for multidisciplinary dentistry.
In order to stay at the forefront of clinical care, he has undertaken courses from Europe, Asia and the United States, and has been lucky enough to train under some of the world’s eminent orthodontists. He also has an interest in teen orthodontic treatments, which are often the most complex cases. Here, he incorporates a number of different growth modification techniques to deliver lifelong results.
He is able to provide aligners, fixed and lingual braces to his patients, alongside specialist tools such as mini-implants, the Carriere device, and a range of growth modification tools.
Awards
He has won numerous awards for his work over the years. In particular, his cutting-edge work on growth modification for teen patients has won prestigious awards from the American Association of Orthodontics as well as the British Orthodontic Society. The AAO Dewell awards is presented to the best clinical research paper in the prestigious American Journal of Orthodontics, and Dr Parekh led a team to win it from the UK for only the 4th time in its 35-year history.
Academy
Jeet has a decade of experience in successfully treating complex orthodontic problems, and his commitment to lifelong development means he is now in a position to pass some of that knowledge on. In 2022, he set up Kai Academy, an online training institute for dentists who wish to develop their skills in clinical orthodontics. Through word of mouth alone, the academy now has students across the UK and Australia who spend time with Dr Parekh to develop their own clinical skills.
Personal
Away from work Jeet has a number of keen interests. He has an eclectic taste in music and has recently developed a passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
