COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Covid-19 Notice

Infection control and patient comfort has always been our top priority, and our priorities have not changed during this crisis. We follow stringent standards of infection control so that your care, will be both safe and secure. We are now focusing on new practice protocols in order to operate a safe and efficient dental practice for all our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You will notice some changes when you arrive for an appointment. We are consistently revising our changes and protocols to help protect our patients and our team.

Before you arrive at the practice, we will ask you to:

  • Complete a pre-appointment screening process over the phone or via email.
  • Payments will be taken in full prior to your appointment to limit contact.
  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds before leaving your home.
  • Please do no attend if you develop a new persistent cough, temperature or feel unwell. Please notify us of this and a new appointment will be arranged for a later date.

When at the practice, we will ask you to:

  • Wait outside until we are ready to see you.
  • Use hand sanitizer.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wear gloves (provided).
  • Complete a screening process
  • Please attend your appointment alone unless you are a minor and require a guardian or elderly or disabled.
  • We ask you to limit the number of belongings you bring with you to your appointment
  • Please visit the bathroom BEFORE coming to the practice. There will be limited access to our toilet facility.

To ensure a safe environment, we will:

  • Decontaminate communal areas throughout the day.
  • Install perspex panels at the reception desk.
  • Manage appointments to allow for social distancing between patients
  • Set up a daily health screening checkpoint and log for the screening for staff entering the workplace.
  • Minimise staff interaction.
  • Equip our dental staff with additional PPE when in surgery.
  • Use video and phone consultations whenever possible.
  • All staff to wear masks at all time when in the practice.

We are available 5-days a week Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm regarding any dental problems or concerns you may have during this outbreak. We will be able to offer advice, prescribe pain relief and antibiotics should your symptoms meet certain criteria. For dental problems we are unable to manage, we have access to refer patients to the COVID-19 dental emergency Hub network via NHS 111.
